The pacing in this chapter is really well done. That moment when they walk into the doctor's house and the smell hits them before they even see the body creates such good tension. The tie-in with the king's ultimatum happening simultaneously through the TV news broadcast is clever worldbuilding. Makes me wanna know how they're gonna stop the weapon without her help.
